Here’s how you can calibrate the guide on your key cutting machine to to make sure it can cut according to the blade at the same level.
The way to check it involves using 2 blanks on either side to see how much of it cuts from a run.
The goal is for half of the width of the key blade to be cut for a perfect cut, but even if it’s not exactly half, it works just fine most of the time.
